Data Sets
This page contains various data sets that we have used for our research. All these data are free for scientific use. Each dataset contains a readme file with additional information. If you make use of any of these data, please cite the source.Network Data:
- World citation
and collaboration networks: Weighted networks of citations and
collaborations between countries and the cities. The collaboration network is
undirected and an edge connects two places (country/city) if the authors from
these places are co-authors in a publication. The citation network is however
directed and an edge represents that the author from one place cites the author
from the other place. Publications in the ISI dataset between 2003-2010
were used to construct these networks.

weighted networks of PACS codes. Edge between PACS codes represent that they
appeared in the same article. All Publications in APS journals between
1985-2009 were used to construct these networks.

Please cite R.K. Pan and J. Saramaki, Europhys. Lett. 97, 18007 (2012). - APS collaboration network: Weighted network of coauthorships between scientists publishing in APS journals between 1893 to 2009. Articles with more than 10 authors were ignored while constructing the network.

Other Data:
- Update and processing
time of papers: Distribution of the update time (number of days between
submission and final update) of articles in arXiv and publication time
(number of days between submission and publication) of papers in APS
journals. All submission to arXiv between Jan 1995 - Mar 2010 and all
publications in APS journals between Jan 2000 - Dec 2009 were used to
construct these distributions.
